Planned Giving

Kansas City Youth Jazz’ programs are made possible through the generosity and commitment of people like you. While, as an organization, we raise funds in many traditional ways, a planned gift to Kansas City Youth Jazz would help to insure that our programs, scholarships and community outreach would be able to continue for generations of young Kansas City jazz musicians in decades to come.

Planned gifts can include gifts made through your will, charitable annuities, life insurance and charitable trusts. Please contact Board President Kent Hawkins (kenthawkins@kcyouthjazz.org) or Executive Director Linda Brady (lindabrady@kcyouthjazz.org) for additional information of planned ways to support Kansas City Youth Jazz

Bequest

This type of donation is made by naming Kansas City Youth Jazz as a beneficiary in a will.

Gift of Life Insurance

If you no longer need your life insurance that was purchased years ago to provide for children or other family members, you can donate it to Kansas City Youth Jazz.

Charitable Lead Trust

Individuals with very large estates can use a charitable lead trust to benefit Kansas City Youth Jazz and pass principal to family members with little or no tax penalty.

Gifts of Retirement Plans

Your IRA assets will be transferred to a charitable remainder trust; the trust will provide life income to the beneficiary, and then an eventual gift to Kansas City Youth Jazz.
